Using Layers

Creating online designs that will look as though they required hours of work can actually be quick and easy by using the Down Layer and Up Layer buttons.  When an element is added to your design—such as a line of text or a graphic—the tool places that item on its own layer.  By moving a design element up or down the layer "stack" you'll be able to control whether an element appears behind or in front of other elements.

Working with a layer stack is similar to working with a number of plastic transparency sheets all stacked on top of each other.  Unless an item is moved up or down in the stack, the first element added will be at the bottom, and the latest element at the top.
