Creating a Border

CREATING A BORDER
• DESIGN TOOL TUTORIAL

Creating a border for your online design can be a quick and easy process, requiring only the design tool's Grid, Rectangle, and Background features.  For ease of use, we recommend following the creating the border first, but it is not a requirement. These steps may also be used with existing designs in your account, or a work-in-progress with content you would like to add a border to.

If you have already created elements of your design and are adding a border afterwards, the Down Layer and Up Layer buttons will be useful.  After you've set your rectangle size and color as you'd like them to be, use the Down Layer button to move the rectangle until it appears behind the already-created elements.

Please note that it may be necessary to click the Down Layer button a number of times to get the desired result, depending upon how many design elements—text and graphics—are already in your design.  Each element sits on its own layer, and the rectangle will be at the very top layer when it is created.
